Classroom Expectations

Second graders are at the age where they are able to fully understand and follow rules.  However, an important way to address "rules" is to call them "expectations".  Changing the wording to expectations seems less harsh to students and shows them what is expected of them at their age, instead of a rule being a burden, or something to follow just because they are told to do so.  The following is a list of example expectations of a second grade classroom.

1. Be Respectful
2. Raise Your Hand
3. Help Others
4. Follow Directions
5. Do Your Best Work
6. Use Kind Words
7. Use Good Manners
